NFTs are unique, and when you buy one, there is proof of ownership, and everyone on the ledger can see who created it, who has sold it and who owns it. To acquire an NFT, you will need cryptocurrency and a crypto wallet, such as MetaMask.
Although, at the moment, most NFTs are digital art pieces (songs, graphics, etc.), there is a gazillion of other uses for them. That is why NFTs are such a craze right now; it is not just the art but the possibilities it opens.
